HeadDoor Supervisor 2020--Current
During my time as a door supervisor i have gained vital experience in customer service and team leading this has lead me
to become a head door supervisor. This role requires me to be able to lead a team of door supervisors and ensure that the
venue is safe and the customers are happy. This role has also allowed me to develop my communication skills and problem
solving abilities.
Door Supervisor 2018--2020
During my break between sixth form and university I did my SIA licence and since I have worked
as a door
supervisor. This job requires me to be friendly and fast thinking however requires me to ensure
I am always
professional. Although I have changed firm, I am still managing a door which I have been
stationed at for the
past 18 months. This has led me to develop a good relationship with the bar staff and clients.
Not only has this
job allowed me to develop my communication and listening skills but also problem solving. Whilst
I have been
stationed mainly on one door, I have previously worked other venues as well as being a street
warden during the
pandemic, providing me vital networking skills.
NCS - National Citizen Service
NCS has played a big part of my life since graduating from the programme myself in 2015.
Following
graduation, I was asked to be part of the NCS North East Regional Youth Board. This allowed me
to voice
my opinions on the NCS programme to influence future programme. The highlight of this was not
only making
a difference to thousands of teenagers lives across the North East by ensuring each programme
was the same
but also being invited to the house of lord to explain what NCS meant to me, when the NCS bill
was being
passed through parliament. Volunteering eventually led me to a job within a local delivery
partner which
allowed me to assist a team leader in the delivery of activities for a group of participants,
having an
impact on their lives.
